Continental Oil Company in 1945, having thirteen different assignments during the first year, Marie became a master at moving households at a moment’s notice.  They later settled in Midland, Texas in April 1960.  Never one to sit idly by, Marie became active in her Church.  She served as secretary for Grace Lutheran Church and later as treasurer for Midland Lutheran Church.  She was a secretary for Getty Oil and Texaco Phillips.  Marie was a masterful homemaker be it sewing clothes for her family, knitting, crocheting, cooking from scratch, and growing and canning vegetables.Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walker; her son, David Walker; her daughter, Anne Cihonski and husband Rick; her sisters, Alberta Boehm and husband Richard, Lydia Ellison and husband Bill, Geraldine Gerling and husband Bob; her brother, George Hoeldtke; and her brother-in-law, Felix Wiley.She is survived by her son, Robert C. Walker, Jr. and wife Sandy; her daughter-in-law, Wanda Walker; her many grandchildren, Raquelle Trimble and husband Jerry, Robert C. Walker III and fiancé Jenny Bouldin, David Walker, Jr., Matthew Walker and wife Kimberly, Jon Walker and wife Emmeline; her many great grandchildren, Brian Walker, Chance Trimble, Chasidee Trimble, Lucy Walker, baby boy Walker (only Mema knows the name); her sister, Ruby Wiley and sister-in-law, Penny Hoeldtke; and numerous nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 at Ellis Funeral Home from 1:00pm to 8:00pm, family will not be present.  A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Midland Lutheran Church. MIDLAND, MI -- When Max Muessig's grandfather died in December 2015, he told his father, Mark, that he was going to transfer from the University of Vermont back home to Michigan State University.Life's too short to be away from family, he told his dad.A heart wrenching tragedy this week made that sentiment all too true.Muessig, 20, and his girlfriend, Maggie Potter, 23, were in Traverse City this week for spring break. Brendan DuniganWEST MILFORD – Services were held for Brendan Robert Dunigan, 23, of Midland Park, who died on Monday, July 18, 2016. He was the brother of Michael of this township.Born in Westwood, Mr. Dunigan lived in Midland Park for most of his life. He was a member of NOCO Bike Life and Team SRT Street Car Takeover of Denver. Also, he was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus.Services were Monday at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne, followed by Mass at St. Luke's R.C. Church. Interment was at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.Mr. Dunigan also is survived by his mother, Jodi Reuter, and her husband Tom of Midland Park; his father, Joseph, and his wife, Candi of Frederick, Colo.; his stepsisters, Rachel Reuter of Waldwick, and Danielle Miller of Clark; and his grandparents, Pat and Chuck Entrup of Oxford, N.Y., and MaryLou and Joseph Dunigan of Broomfield, Colo.
